Blessing of the Land  

 

Tom Blue Wolf and his wife Debbie begin the blessing ceremony by lighting a small
bowl of sage.

Each person in the circle inhaled the aroma of the sage as it was offered by Debbie.

Tom Blue Wolf commends the group on their commitment to caring for the land, and
encourages them to maintain it for the next generation.

The group lifts their hands and eyes to the sky during a portion of the ceremony that
acknowledged ancestors who originally inhabited the land.

Serenbe founder Steve Nygren and Chattahoochee Hill Country president Stacy
Patton speak with Tom Blue Wolf following the conclusion of the ceremony.

The guests gathered at Steve and Marie Nygren’s home for a lunch following the
blessing ceremony.
