| Estates and farms lie on the edges of the settlement |
 |
The Estate Homes of Serenbe are placed on larger, unstructured lots, with generous setbacks from the road. Several lots are surrounded by woods, with protected land on all sides. Architectural styles will reflect the tastes and desires of individual property owners, but will draw from the local vernacular, often with modest Queen Anne, Adam or Greek Revival details, to be rural in finish and casual in spirit. Each home will have porches on at least two sides of the house. We’re anticipating that most homeowners will want to select their own architect for their Estate Homes.
The Farm Homes of Serenbe will include a farmhouse and barn situated on a 1/4 acre in the midst of a working farm. The farmland will be managed by a land trust, although property owners will be able to lease the farmland if they have the desire to work a farm. For those not interested in the actual work of farming, the Farm Homes offer a rare opportunity to live on a farm without having to run it.
