| Guests gather at Blue-Eyed Daisy |
| |
Last month marked the first in a new series of community events and activities scheduled to take place here at Serenbe. In December 2005, we established the Serenbe Arts Council with the goal of bringing cultural activities to our community.
Our first event was held on Sunday, January 8th, when we welcomed
Dr. Phillip Tabb to the Blue-Eyed Daisy Bakeshop. Guests enjoyed dinner as
Dr. Tabb educated us on the concept of sacred geometry and how its principles were used when creating the Serenbe community. The evening brought about a special mixture of community and the exchange of ideas. Dr. Tabb was the first of many guests we hope to host as a way to inform the public on various methods of land use.

The festivities continued as we celebrated our first "Sundays at the Blue-Eyed Daisy" event January 15th. The Afternoon of Bluegrass kicked off with performances by two of our neighborhood favorites, Ray and Dan Thompson. As the main attraction, we were treated to the music of Johnny and Jeff Mosier along with David Blackmon. Later, Angie Mosier who added her talent on vocals also joined the musical trio. The performances drew a crowd where more than 100 guests filled the bakeshop and sidewalk café to enjoy music, food and the camaraderie of friends.

If you were not able to join us in January, we invite you to come out every third Sunday of the month and join us for "Sundays at the Blue-Eyed Daisy". This month we have invited local residents to come out and share in an evening of storytelling. Join us on Sunday, February 19th and get an insiders view of the history of the Chattahoochee Hill Country from our local residents. The stories begin at 5:00 PM. For more information or if you are interested in participating in our storytelling series, please contact us at contact@serenbe.com or
