Culinary Arts at Serenbe

First it was Marie’s country breakfasts when the Inn at Serenbe was just a small B&B.  Then guests started spreading the word about the pickled okra served each day at tea time.  Just over a year ago, the Blue Eyed Daisy Bakeshop opened its doors and their cupcakes seemingly became famous overnight.  The Serenbe Farms continue to bloom with gorgeous organic produce, which is gobbled up by folks who appreciate the freshest, best tasting products.  Over the summer, The Farmhouse opened and ignited a buzz in the foodie world about the restaurant’s simple yet inventive and beautiful dishes.  Come November, Atlanta’s top chefs flocked to Serenbe for a tasting event sponsored by one of the most respected culinary organizations in the nation, Les Dames d’Escoffier.  Serenbe has a solid relationship with food, punctuated by culinary hits of the past and the promise of a bright, food-filled future.

New Restaurant Coming to Serenbe

Building has officially begun on Serenbe’s third restaurant.  Though the concept, design, name, and chef are being kept a secret until this spring, we can divulge that the restaurant will be located in the Selborne community and will feature a comfortable dining room and bar, and outdoor seating on an elevated patio. The restaurant is scheduled to open this summer.  We’ll keep you posted…

Les Dames d’Escoffier Hosts “Afternoon in the Country”

Nearly 700 guests enjoyed a gorgeous day in the countryside for Les Dames d’Escoffier Atlanta Chapter’s 6th Annual “Afternoon in the Country” outdoor tasting event.  More than 30 of Atlanta’s top chefs prepared delicious samples, 15 fine wine and premium micro-brew vendors filled glasses, and organic growers sold beautiful produce. Proceeds from the event benefited the organization’s scholarship fund and Georgia’s organic farming community.

Serenbe Farms: Think Global, Buy Local!

Serenbe is the proud home of the Serenbe Farms, an approximately 20-acre certified organic community supported agriculture (CSA) farm.  There are only about 1200 CSA programs in the nation, however they are gaining popularity as more people realize the benefit and importance of buying and eating locally grown food.  CSA members receive fresh, organic produce each week throughout the growing season, and they often become very involved in the farm and have the opportunity to learn about how their food is produced.  Each Saturday, the Serenbe Farmers Market is held each in the heart of the Selborne community.  The Serenbe Farms sells fresh organic produce and flowers, and on the fourth Saturday of each month, local food vendors and artists join the market. NOTE: The November artists’ market will be held on the third Saturday of the month.

Upcoming Events:

StudioSwan presents Gail Foster & Tom Swanston: New Works
