The Serenbe community is home to a 20-acre organic farm, appropriately known as Serenbe Farms. Operating within the principles of biodynamic agriculture, the certified organic farm grows vegetables, herbs, flowers, and fruit for families, restaurants (including The Farmhouse & Blue Eyed Daisy), and a farmer’s market held each Saturday during growing season in the Serenbe community. The farm’s primary goals are to grow the highest quality organic produce, to provide hands-on education and meaningful recreation for people of all ages, and to give back to the community.
Serenbe Farms has one of just 1,000 or so CSA programs (Community Supported Agriculture) in the nation. This program allows the farms to support the community and vice versa—people buy CSA shares and, in turn, are given bountiful shares of fresh, organic produce each week during growing season. Almost all of the CSAs have been scooped up by Serenbe residents and neighbors in the Chattahoochee Hill Country, but there are a few left and are available to anyone who’s interested. The Farmhouse Restaurant

Just under a year old, The Farmhouse is enjoying a glowing review from one of Atlanta’s most respected food critics, Christiane Lauterbach. Her review (accompanied by gorgeous photos by Lauren Rubinstein) appears in the March issue of Atlanta Magazine. Click here (PDF) to view the story.
The Farmhouse menu changes daily based on what Chef Tony Seichrist finds on the Serenbe Farm and from other top quality purveyors. To receive the weekly menu, email Jennifer@serenbe.com. For more information, click here.
The Blue Eyed Daisy
Daisy founders Angie & Johnny Mosier have handed the proverbial baton to Nicolas Bour, the bakeshop’s new executive chef. A familiar face for Atlanta foodies, Chef Nicolas trained under James Beard-trained chefs including Guenter Seeger and Elizabeth Terry before opening chic East Atlanta restaurant, Iris. He brings fresh ideas to the Daisy and is currently experimenting with an expanded menu. And, of course, the pastry case is as scrumptious as ever. Angie & Johnny are pursuing other passions (you’ll see an increase in Angie’s byline on fantastic food-related stories in various publications, and watch for a schedule of Johnny’s tour dates), and they are still very much a part of the Serenbe community. Visit the Daisy any day for lunch, Thursday through Sunday for dinner, or weekend mornings for breakfast.
And a New Restaurant, Opening this Summer
Very soon we’ll be announcing the details of Serenbe’s third restaurant, opening this summer. Keep track on the progress of the building by viewing our construction photo albums.

Celebrating the Blue Eyed Daisy’s Silver LEED Certification & the Opening of the Selborne Courtyard
Hundreds gathered in the new Selborne courtyard to celebrate the Blue Eyed Daisy’s Silver LEED certification (making it the smallest building in the nation with this designation). Johnny Mosier & Ryan Taylor of the band Little Green Chairs entertained the crowd, but took a break for Executive Director of Southface Dennis Creech to say a few words about the importance of being a “green building.” The LEED team was also recognized: Steve & Marie Nygren with Serenbe Development, architect Randy Miller, builder Paul Bartos of Morgan & Bartos, LEED expert Brenda Morawa, and interior designer Smith Hanes. Also in attendance was master gardener Ryan Gainey, who designed the courtyard’s signature fountain.

Frog Day at Serenbe!
Doctors Ron Gagliardo and Joseph Mendelson (representing the World Conservation Union, Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Zoo Atlanta, and the Atlanta Amphibian Center) visited the Serenbe Stables with a few of their amphibian friends to talk about frog extinctions (the bad news) and what they’re doing about them (the good news). The crowd of kids and adults got up close and personal with the frogs after the presentation.
