We hope you’ll join us for one of the many events at Serenbe this fall. The leaves in the Chattahoochee Hill Country are starting to change, there’s a crispness in our clean air, and the fall bounty from the Serenbe Organic Farms is being served up in all three of our restaurants. Continue reading for details on the Brubeck Brothers Quartet concert on October 19, our last Serenbe Farmers’ Market of the season, pumpkin cooking contest and Harvest Carnival on October 25, Pumpkin Glow party on Halloween night, Les Dames d’Escoffier’s “Afternoon in the Country” on November 9, and many more events with our restaurants, art galleries and shops.
We’re looking forward to jazz enthusiasts joining us for a concert with the beloved Brubeck Brothers Quartet (yes, they are the offspring of Mr. Dave Brubeck himself) at Hutcheson Ferry Park on Sunday, October 19. Serenbe is proud to be a sponsor of this event, which is hosted by the Chattahoochee Hill Country Alliance and Chattahoochee Hill Country Conservancy. Proceeds benefit an initiative to buy the parks in the Chattahoochee Hill Country, further ensuring that at least 70 percent of this area’s 40,000 acres remain green. This event is an ideal demonstration of this community’s passion for arts, land preservation
and building a strong sense of place. In addition to attending the concert, you are invited to a beer and wine reception at The Hil after the concert from 6 - 7:30 p.m., where you’ll have a chance to mingle with the Brubeck Brothers. All proceeds from this event benefit the parks initiative as well. Click on the poster at right, or continue to scoll down, for all the details.
The Serenbe Organic Farms is celebrating a bountiful growing season at their last Farmers’ Market of the year, Saturday, October 25. This will be a busy day at Serenbe, as we’re also celebrating the Hill Country Montessori school with a Harvest Carnival. Starting at 8 a.m., visit the market and stock up on produce, and if you’re culinarily inclined, participate in the Seasonal Cooking Contest--this month’s ingredient is pumpkin (naturally). Bring your best pumpkin dish to be judged, or buy a scorecard and do the judging
(register at the market). Kids will love everything the Hill Country Montessori has planned for the carnival: eco-friendly crafts, games, pony rides, hayrides, caricatures, music, food, a bug discovery walk through the woods, and so much more. Proceeds benefit Hill Country Montessori, which is located adjacent
to Serenbe, and is the school for several Serenbe kids. Click on the poster at right, or continue to scroll down, for all the details. The young school is rapidly growing and undergoing a building campaign--
we’re so proud to be a friend of Hill Country Montessori, and invite you to learn more about it by visiting www.hillcountrymontessori.org.
Serenbe has a diverse group of residents--our youngest resident is about to celebrate her third birthday and our oldest is an octogenarian. Folks are from all walks of life, and have a vast range of interests. One common theme, however: We all love to get together and celebrate. Sometimes it’s a potluck or a simple gathering on someone’s front porch. One of the favorite gatherings of the year is Pumpkin Glow, Serenbe’s annual costume party. This year, it’s on Halloween night--we invite you to come enjoy this outdoor party on the Selborne Green with us (costumes aren’t mandatory, but strongly encouraged). There will be a cash bar, and this event always turns into a fun dance party. Please remember that there will also be trick-or-treating in the community, so drive through slowly and carefully. Each year, we’re delighted to host Les Dames d’Escoffier’s “Afternoon in the Country” at Serenbe. Ask Atlanta’s top chefs, restaurant owners and food lovers about this--they’ll likely say it’s one of their favorite culinary events of the year. Guests spend the day mingling and tasting fantastic food, sipping wine and beer, listening to live bluegrass, going on hayrides, and enjoying the countryside. The event takes place this year on Sunday, November 9, and we hope to see you there. Click HERE, or continue to scroll down, for the details.
We have special events almost every weekend in October and November---Click on the thumbnail at right to download a calendar of events, which includes trunk shows at our boutiques, a 15K run through our trails, art exhibitions and openings at our galleries, cooking classes with our gourmet grocery and chefs, and more. We hope you’ll visit soon--for a day, a weekend, a season, or a lifetime. |
